Who is Monte?

​

Monte L. Evans was born in Houston, Texas, and grew up in the

Spring Branch area. He attended school in Spring Branch ISD from elementary through high school. He played both football and baseball

as a youth in the Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association

and continued participating in sports during his junior high

and high school years. During high school, Monte played

varsity football and baseball. After graduating from

Northbrook Sr. High School in 1976, he received a

partial scholarship to play baseball at San Jacinto Jr. College

in Pasadena, TX. He later received a full scholarship to

East Texas Baptist College Marshall, TX.

Monte later graduated from Texas A&M University at

Commerce (East Texas State University) with a

Bachelor of Science in Education degree.

He soon realized that the real education of life was just beginning.​
